Mana Jardin is interesting in that it’s conceptually driven by response and reaction. The task was more about coping with limitation and creating a narrative of spaces, and to properly respond to both site and solar considerations. Heavy emphasis was placed on opening the space up a considered response to an exceptional site with a building that is not trying too hard or to be iconic.
Concept:
To build a minimalist apartment with simple clean lines, uncluttered geometry, fluid, transparent spaces where the interiors and exteriors blend into each other in an attempt to keep the user constantly in touch with the outdoors.
